The founders of TBA Racing have had more than 25 years of active involvement in world wide motorsport as both drivers and engineers.
We started life building and competing in rally cars in the early 1980's.
Then in the mid 1980's we were involved in our first racing venture, running a vintage Zinc formula ford race car based in New Jersey, USA.
On returning to the UK, we rebuilt and competed in a groupN Peugeot rallycar.
Having got bitten by the racing bug in the USA we returned there in the mid 1990's this time being based in Melbourne, Florida.
There we ran several different vintage racecars for the ex-factory Ferrari, Porsche, Truimph, Elva LeMans Racer Charlie Kolb and current Mazda and Porsche Pro race driver Randy Pobst. We competed in over 25 weekends a year, up and down the East Coast America, winning around 95% of all the events entered.
We were involved in the following racing groups, Historic Sportscar Racing Series, the Sportscar Club of America Vintage racers series, the Sports Car Vintage Racing Association and the American Racing League.
The stable of cars consisted of an ex-Works 1968 Chevron B8, 1963 Bobsy (US Lotus B23 rival), 1974 Chevron B26, Lotus Elise 190 Sport and a Mk1 VW Golf.
On the retirement of the Florida teams owner Charlie Kolb, now in his 80's, we returned to the UK and formed TBA Racing at our new base in Twickenham, Middlesex. Our goals are to rebuild and compete in our two Porsche 911 racecars and to develop new race and rally cars.
